Gurjeet & Navjot Arrested With 100kg Of Cocaine – Canadians Love A Bit Of Blow It Seems

Two men arrested in a major drug bust in which police say they seized nearly 100 kilograms of cocaine and methamphetamine were granted bail Wednesday.

Crown prosecutor Frank Polak consented to the release of Navjot Singh and Gurjeet Ghota after negotiating with their lawyers, Derek Jugnauth and Rebecca Snukal.

Provincial court Judge Mike Dinkel ordered the two men to post $10,000 cash each and have a surety provide an additional $25,000 in property.

Both men are subject to a nightly curfew and other conditions including a weapons prohibition. They must also surrender any passports they have.

Each faces two charges of possession of cocaine and possession of methamphetamine for the purpose of trafficking.

They were arrested last week after police say they seized 66 kilograms of cocaine and 30 kilograms of meth at a traffic stop.

Police provided no other details about the bust.

The two men are due back in court on Nov. 2.
