It’s My Opinion – The 15:17 to Paris, As Seen By Raj Bitu Kang

The 15:17 to Paris (2018) 🌟🌟

My expectations for this movie were quite high being that this was a movie that was directed by Clint Eastwood, who has made some great movies such as #MillionDollarBaby #GranTorino #MysticRiver #Invictus #Sully etc. The list is endless! However, I felt like ‘Dirty Harry’ did a dirty on us and this had to be one of the weakest movies that he has directed 😕.

The movie itself is based on a true event and the main characters in the movie are played not by actors, but by the real-life heroes themselves who stopped a tragedy from happening. Respect to those heroes but, they simply cannot act and therefore, the movie just does not settle well with you. It almost feels like you are watching some kind of reality TV programme.

The majority of the movie focuses on their background, while the actual event takes place towards the end of the movie. By the end of the movie, you admire the characters for their bravery and almost feel compelled to like the movie but you just simply can’t and are left feeling disappointed 😔.

I also fail to understand why the real-life heroes would want to re-live that tragedy and agreed to act in this movie 🤷‍♀️. But hey, each to their own and respect to those guys for what they did.

2 out of 5 stars. Remember, it’s my opinion!
