Sandeep Singh, Drug Dealer From Tipton Jailed

We reported last year on how Sundeep Singh from Tipton was arrested after a police chase that saw him cause a three car pile up, the drug dealer has now been jailed after he was caught with a stash of heroin and crack cocaine – plus a stun gun disguised as a torch.

Sandeep Singh, aged 25, was stopped by West Midlands Police officers while driving his BMW in Wellesley Road, in Oldbury, in November 2017.

Singh ran off, discarding the items as he fled the scene, but was quickly detained by officers. Police soon found a ‘Taser’ stun gun which was made to look like a torch, a BMW car key and his mobile phone nearby.

When officers searched Singh’s home, in Charter Road, Tipton, they discovered heroin and crack cocaine wraps with a value of £1,330, 35 capsules of steroids, more than £6,000 in cash and a set of digital scales.

He was charged with possessing drugs with intent to supply and was sentenced to eight years in prison at Wolverhampton Crown Court on January 10.

He was also disqualified from driving for five years.

West Midlands Police will now look to seize the recovered cash through a Proceeds of Crime application.

Detective Sergeant Daniel Cartwright, from West Browmwich CID, said: “This was a great piece of police work that has resulted in drugs and a dangerous weapon being taken off our streets.”
