Boxer Inder Singh Bassi hit the headlines in 2018 when he and Dr Harbir Singh led a campaign to change amateur boxing’s beard ban for competitors. Now Inder Singh Bassi has signed a pro boxing deal with boxing stable MTK Global.
The Five-time London amateur champion Inder Singh Bassi was one of six new pro boxers signed by MTK Global this week.
MTK Global promoter Lee Eaton said: “This is a special day for all these promising young fighters, a special day for MTK London and a special day for MTK Global.
“We’ve shown again and again we are committed to recruiting the best boxing talent out there and we believe all of these prospects have what it takes to go on and achieve great things as professional.
“You only have to look at the list of their amateur achievements and their trophy cabinets to know that the potential here is massive. We look forward to helping them chase their dreams.”
MTK London manager Adam Hart added: “This is great news for everyone and these six fighters are all gifted enough to win titles in the paid ranks.
“Our shows are getting bigger and bigger and we welcome the prospect of these young men building their careers on some big stages.”
