A disturbing movie which brilliantly executes an important message.

The movie is based on the memoirs of Gerrard Conely 📖 and superbly directed by Joel Egerton. The movie talks about the various emotions he goes through when he realises his sexuality and the reactions from his loved ones.
There are some heartbreaking scenes 💔 and the whole process of conversion therapy is just mind boggling and very disturbing. The experiences of each individual within therapy is very different from one another.
Performances are great all around, especially the moments between Lucas Hedges and Nicole Kidman 😢.
Overall, it is an interesting movie to watch. Religious beliefs vs reality and the rejection of what the reality is. Not one to miss so go and check it out!
4 out of 5 stars. Remember, it’s my opinion!
