Hmmm, a female superhero movie released during #internationalwomensday … Coincidence 🤔? Clever marketing ploy? Who cares! Girls power all the way! 💪🏻
So, I wasn’t super excited to watch Captain Marvel like I was to watch The Avengers but, I still wanted to watch it. The movie was as I expected it to be. It was watchable but, the story line was perhaps a little dull and lacked the punch that you see in the other Marvel comics movies 👊🏻.
Brie Larson is fine as Captain Marvel. She kicks ass #hurrrr, is super strong 💪🏻and well, she’s Captain Marvel 🤷♀️! Samuel L. Jackson is definitely not the same Nick Fury you see in the other movies. You know that over time the world of superheroes and villains builds Nick Furry into the cocky man who dresses in black like Shaft 😎. Jude Law is ace and he can certainly do action and another great character is Ben Mendelsohn. Ah, did I mention that the movie also stars Djimon Hounsou, who by the way I have met in LA. Just thought I would throw that in 😏.
Overall, it’s not the best Marvels movie made. I have no issues with the performances just that the storyline could have been a little more excitable 😌. You should still go and watch the movie. Remember to stop and watch the two post credit scenes. Go check it!
3 out of 5 stars. Remember, it’s my opinion!
