Halloween (2018) 🌟🌟🌟🌟
If you haven’t seen the original Halloween movie 🎃, then you need to watch it first. Although, if you watch it now it will seem really out-dated. Anyways, let’s fast forward 40 years and see what’s happening ➡️.
So, what do we have in this movie? Well, we have Michael Myers who is still alive and kicking. He clearly hasn’t skipped a day at the gym as he’s still super strong💪🏻 and wait for it … OMG, he’s managed to escape 🏃♂️. Shock horror 😱!
You have Jamie Lee Curtis, whose possibly a little disturbed, clearly doesn’t own a pair of GHD’s and is now a whizz at hitting a target with her several firearms.
We know what happens when Michael Myers is set free. Strangely enough the funny thing is, for a guy who has been locked up for 40 years, he certainly knows his way around and that’s without Google maps 🗺. Clearly he’s one of those men who do not stop for directions.
Ok, enough of the jokes. The question is, is this follow on Halloween movie any good? The answer is that it’s not just good, it’s really good 👍🏻. The movie gets straight into it the story. The setting is brilliant, the characters are good and it pays plenty of homage to the original movie.
You have the right balance of horror, suspense and even comedy at the right times (watch out for the little potty mouthed kid 🤣). There are plenty of suspenseful scenes as expected with a movie like this and it’s pretty gory 🔪so the 18 certificate is understandable.
This is one of those movies that could have gone horribly wrong but, surprisingly its better than you think it might. Also, remember to stay until the end for the post credit scene 😉. Go check it out!
4 out of 5 stars. Remember, it’s my opinion!
