It’s My Opinion – Veere Di Wedding, As Seen By Raj Bitu Kang

Veere Di Wedding (2018) 🌟🌟🌟

There has been a lot of hype around this movie with the main focus being that it centers around a strong female cast (#girlpower🤘🏻). It is definitely not your typical kind of bollywood movie!

For starters there is a reason why its a 15 certificate; there are numerous sex references, the f word is casually thrown around and the same goes for swearing in Hindi 🙉. Most likely not a movie you would want to watch with your parents but, perhaps would do so with your friends instead ☺.

I found myself laughing at many scenes 🤣 and I think alot of ladies may find it relatable in parts however, I felt the story-line was not as interesting as I thought it would have been. It’s definitely a ballsy script for an Indian movie but, I felt its the emphasis on feminism was a little too forced and maybe, a little over the top.

Performance wise all four actresses delivered their performances well but, out of the four I felt Swara Bhaskar was brilliant. She was particularly brave to enact a particular scene🙈. I was surprised to see Vivek Mushran in this movie too. Boy he has changed from his Saudagar days.

You can see there was alot of focus on the wardrobes for this movie. The ladies looked quite stylish in most parts with a few malfunctions with some dresses. The soundtrack for the movie is average, with Tareefan by @badboyshah standing out. The more you listen to it the more it grows on you. He is a genius! 👌

Overall, this movie reminded me of Sex and the City, the bollywood version. It will guarantee a split opinion amongst most people. Check it out and lets see what your opinion is 🤔.

3 out of 5 stars. Remember, it’s my opinion!
