It was just over a year ago that the news broke about the shooting of Parmish Verma via a Punjab based gangster who wanted to extort money the popular singer. Well, it seems as if we have the same issue of ‘extortion’ raising its ugly head once again, this time it involves Karan Aujla’s team at Rehaan Records.
Arminder Singh from Ghaint Punjab broke the news this morning after the police had informed people of what had happened, Sandeep Rehaan the owner of Rehaan Records is the one who received the call and who informed the police.
According to reports from ur friends at Ghaint Punjab, Sandeep, who is at present staying in a hotel in Chandigarh’s Sector – 35, told the police that he received a WhatsApp extortion call on his mobile from a person who demanded Rs 20 lakh. The call was received on March 16 after which the police were informed.
The police said the caller introduced himself as a gangster, whose name they could reveal “Since the matter is sensitive, we cannot give details about the case,” said a police official, but it is said to be a well known gangster and someone the Police are actively looking for.
Karan Aujla and Deep Jandu are set to embark on a tour that will see them going to Europe and India, it is not known as of yet if this will mean the India leg of the tour is impacted.
