Netflix & Apple Music Are The Most “Shared Password” Sites

These days, nearly everyone is talking about “cutting the cable cord” from expensive satellite and cable packages and migrating to subscription-based services. With smart TVs, streaming media devices like Apple TV and the Amazon Fire TV Stick, and blazing-fast internet options, you can ditch Sky and still enjoy the golden age of TV on your own terms.

A survey of 1000 streaming service subscribers showed that many share their passwords with others, breaking terms of service. Apple Music subscribers were the biggest offenders among music services, with 31.4% admitting to sharing their passwords with others.

22.2% of Spotify subscribers and 13,5% of Pandora users shared their passwords, according to Comparitech. The practice costs artists and record labels millions in revenue.
