According to information released from interviews with Dilpreet Dhahan via the Police, Parmish Verma had challenged Dilpreet Singh Dahan to meet him at Elante Mall, Chandigarh something that had angered the gangster, and it ended by Dilpreet opening fire at Parmish near his house on April 14.
The next day, April 15th, singer Parmish sent Rs 10 lakh to Dahan. This information has came to light following the interrogation of Dahan who was arrested after a shootout near the Sector 43 bus stand on July 9.
A senior Punjab Police officer said their investigations revealed that Dahan and his accomplices had no intention of firing at Parmish, but they did so after the singer instigated them. The officer said Dahan made a phone call to the singer demanding money but Parmish took it lightly and challenged him to come in front of him at Elante Mall at that moment.
Taking Parmish’s challenge seriously, the gangster and accomplices went to the mall, but the singer had entered the discotheque before they could reach the place. They waited outside the discotheque, without realising that Parmish had already left. They then parked their cars near Homeland Apartment and when Parmish reached the site, they started following him and shot at him near his house in Sector 91. Police said the singer paid the amount the very next day while he was still in the hospital.
