So here it is, want to know what’s hot and what’s not ‘officially’ on Youtube?  Well, let us help you (not us alone but using YouTubes very own data). This is the data artists get paid by, this is the data that YouTube uses for their official charts. So if it’s not charting it’s not genuine!

What is ‘not’ classed as a genuine view:

If people click on the video via an ad on YouTube, this is not counted, if people are continually auto-refreshing pages this is not counted as a genuine view. Organic views are songs that have been played for over 60% and watched from a genuine IP address. The old click farms are now a thing of the past and that count is easily spotted.

Why do counts differ on Label/Artist pages to YouTube data:

Simple, YouTube now removes all non-organic views from the data it uses for its charts. An artist/label may show 100m views on their page, but if it enters the charts with 4m – then only 4m were ‘organic views’. The rest were not organic. Yes, we all know what that means….

The Charts ( the biggest claims first, please note this data was only amended in June 2019 so this data is from that period only).

Number 1 – Song: Paagal
Label: Sony Music India

Release Date: July 10th 2019
YouTube Chart Week: July 5th July 11th 2019
Views Claimed: 77 Million
Difference: 74 Million
Actual Views In That Period: Less than 3m
Comment: This song has yet to chart in the official YouTube charts since its release.

Number 2 – Same Beef 
Label: Saga Music 
Artist: Sidhu Moose Wala & Bohemia
Release Date: August 19th 2019
YouTube Chart Week: August 16th – August 22nd 2019
Views Claimed: 8.5 million
Actual Views In That Period: Less than 5.5m
Difference: 12 million (updated Monday 10th)
Comment: In week one the song did not chart and was out 3 million views, in week 2 the song was out by a further 12 million,  week 3 the song is still not in the charts even though claiming to be on 38 million views

Number 3 – Song: Baby Baby 
Label: Saga Music
Artist: Mankirt Aulakh & Manj Muzik
Release Date: July 19th 2019
YouTube Chart Week: July 19th – July 25th 2019
Views Claimed: 20 million
Actual Views In That Period: Less than 6m
Difference: 14 million
Comment: This song has yet to chart in the official YouTube charts since its release. After the first two weeks of release, the song has only added a further 2 million in 7 weeks!

Number 4 – IK Tera ***NEW ENTRY****
Label: White Hill Music
Artist: Maninder Buttar
Release Date: 21st Aug 2019
YouTube Chart Week: August 23rd August 29th 2019
Views Claimed: 20 million in two weeks
Actual Views In That Period: Less than 8m
Difference: 12 million (Updated Monday 10th September)
Comment: Muchh was 6 million views out on week one, on week two the song claimed to have hit 9 million, the chart releasing on Monday 9th of once again failed to show views of over 4m.

Number  5- Muchh 
Label: Saga Music 
Artist: Diljit Dosanjh
Release Date: 22nd Aug 2019
YouTube Chart Week: August 23rd August 29th 2019
Views Claimed: 12 million
Actual Views In That Period: Less than 6m (week 1 only)
Difference: 9 million (Updated Monday 10th September)
Comment: Muchh was 6 million views out on week one, on week two the song claimed to have hit 9 million, the chart releasing on Monday 9th of once again failed to show views of over 4m.

Number 6 – Song: My Moon

Views Claimed: 8.5 million
Actual Views In That Period: Less than 4m
Difference: 4.5 million
Comment: This song has yet to chart in the official YouTube charts since its release.

Number 7 – Ban

Artist: Sunanda Sharma
Release Date: July 29th 2019
YouTube Chart Week: July 26th – August 1st 2019
Views Claimed: 9 million
Actual Views In That Period: Less than 4.5m
Difference: 4.5 million
Comment: This song has yet to chart in the official YouTube charts since its release, and after amassing 10 million in 7 days. the song has only added 1.1 million in the next 5 weeks.

Number 8 – Heart Patient 
Label: Times Music 
Artist: The Landers
Release Date: 9th Sept
YouTube Chart Week: Sept 6th – Sept 12th
Views Claimed: 7 million
Actual Views In That Period: Less than 2.5 m
Difference: 4.5 million
Comment: Times Music released the song on the 9th Sept. In the 3 day period for the charts, the song claimed 7m views! It is nowhere to be seen in the official charts and actual organic views were less than 2.5m

Number 9  – Eyes On Me 
Label: Vehli Janta Records
Artist: Tarsem Jassar
Release Date: 13th Aug 2019
YouTube Chart Week: August 2nd August 8th 2019
Views Claimed: 6 million
Actual Views In That Period: Less than 4m
Difference: 2 million
Comment: The song is currently on 9.3 million, so a real slow down after an initial 7 million-plus views in its first 8 days.
