Sarfaraz Ahmed Laughs & Jokes In Press Conference – Does He Not Get It?

Despite the extreme odds, Pakistan Cricket team’s skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed is positive for their next match against Bangladesh today. The team needs a win with a margin of more than 300 runs against the arch-rivals Bangladesh today to qualify for the semi-finals. However, if Bangladesh wins the toss and elects to bat first, Pakistan’s hopes will be shattered even before the first ball is bowled.

The Quint reported, yesterday in a press conference, the Pakistani skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed said, “We will give it our best but we have to be realistic. If we make 500 or 400 runs, we can surely hope that the opposition can get out on 50. It is not a hidden fact that we have to make 500-550 runs and win by a margin of 316 runs. We have to be realistic but we will try our best.”

If Pakistan scores 350 runs after winning the toss, they have to beat Bangladesh by 311 runs to qualify. If they score 400, they need to win the match by 316 runs and if they score 450, they need to win by 321 runs.

In their very first match, Pakistan was bowled out on 105 runs by West Indies. Also, they chased it in just 13.5 overs hit Pakistan hard. However, the team tried to make a comeback in the tournament. But New Zealand’s defeat against England made Pakistan’s road to semi-final almost impossible.

Also, Pakistan has lost the last four games against Bangladesh. The last time Pakistan defeated Bangladesh was in 2014 Asia Cup.
