Sarpreet Singh made headlines this summer by becoming the first ‘Singh’ to be signed by Bayern Munich. Initially signed for the Bayern Munich second-team, Sarpreet Singh impressed then-coach Niko Kovac and was promoted to the first team for the pre-season friendlies.
Singh impressed in those pre-season games and was part of the Super cup squad against Dortmund at the start of the season. After some late signings by Bayern Munich including Couthino from Barcelona on loan, Singh joined the Bayern second team once again. Singh has gone on to shine for the Bayern Second team as his stats have shown.
Sarpeet Singh has now scored four goals and made five assists in 11 appearances for Bayern II this season. Sunday saw him score a brace against Magdeburg.
All this comes fresh on the heels of Sarpreet Singh being called up to the New Zealand national team. New Zealand has two friendlies against the Republic of Ireland and Lithuania. The Republic of Ireland game is live on Thursday @ 19.45 on Sky Sports football.
