Saturday night saw Jordan Gill unite Punjabi sports fans after he stopped Emmanuel Dominguez in the third round to claim the WBA International title in style on Sky Sports, and this week we have another Punjabi fighter fighting on TV, Wolverhampton based Indi Sangha.
We caught up with Indi Sangha a couple of weeks ago and gave people an introduction to him. This week we managed to touch base with Indi Sangha again as he prepares for Fridays big fight against 8-0 Super Bantamweight Lucien Reidy .
So Indi how are preparations going for Friday?
We (East Side Boxing Gym) have had a good few weeks and now it’s all about Friday night, I have managed to stay focussed and train harder than ever, I feel motivated for the fight, this is a big stage for me and I want to ensure i do myself justice.
Lucien Reidy is seen as bright star for the future, does that concern you?
TBH I am concentrating on what I can do, I’m an avid boxing fan so i do keep my eye on the scene, but I as much as I love the sport and like to keep an eye on what is happening, I have to get my own skill set ready for Friday.
Lucien Reidy has been saying this week that he wants to win all the British titles this year, do you feel he is looking past you?
A little message for my next opponent Indi Sangha on what’s to come in 4 weeks time. This is my best camp yet, you everyone better be ready for a explosive performance on March 8th @royalalberthall.👊🏽

I have not seen that, this week has been about the gym and preparing for Friday. It will be a tough fight and I know I am an underdog in many people’s eyes, but I feel I’m in good condition and as the fight gets closer I know that I will be in peak fighting condition for the fight.
This was only a quick catch up with Indi Sangha and we hope to touch base after the fight, if you wish to watch the even on Friday it is on BT Sport .

The last time the odds were stacked against Indi Sangha was in the semi final of the of the BCB Midlands Boxing Super Series, and Indi pulled out all the stops to surprise the up and coming Louis Fielding, more of the same on Friday from Indi would see Punjabi Boxing fans celebrating a great week in boxing!
Indi Sangha who lost his last fight went on to state that – even though it was a stoppage I felt I was winning the fight on points and that it will be a learning curve for Friday’s fight”
It's fight week! 👊
