Tyson Fury Praises Vijender Singh & Says He Would Fight In India


The peoples champion Tyson Fury! He is never shy in coming forward neither is he shy when asked about other boxers. Tyson Fury was asked his thoughts on Indian fighter Vijender Singh recently and he told the gathered press that Vijender is the perfect man to lead Indian boxing.

Punjabi fighters in India and from around the world are helping grow the popularity of the sport. Tyson Fury also talked about the interest of Indians in the sport.

Boxer Tyson Fury is currently taking a break from the boxing ring. His focus, for now, is on his upcoming WWE match against Braun Strowman.

However, The Gypsy King is expected to return to the boxing ring in the first quarter of 2019 against Deontay Wilder. A rematch that the whole boxing world wants to see ASAP.

In the meantime, Fury has spoken about his WWE contract, MMA debut and now? Rumours are buzzing about The Gypsy King’s fight in India after a recent media interaction.

Tyson Fury praises Indian boxing and feels that India is a great country for the sport of boxing. In an international media conference call, Fury said that “It (boxing) is very big in India. You have a great boxer in Vijender Singh and I hope he can go on to win the World title”.

Vijender Singh was the first Indian to win the Olympic medal for boxing and the first Indian to win a regional WBO title. Singh’s professional record holds 11 wins with no losses and it has surely caught the eyes of Tyson Fury.

Vijender Singh WHO signed a contract with Top Rank Promotions last year and made his US debut by knocking out Mike Snider in the fourth round of the match. Vijender Singh speaking earlier this month expressed his vision for 2020, with a World title shot being the goal.

Tyson Fury ‘The Gypsy King’ wants him to get his hands on the title. Fury has also expressed his urge for fighting in India and Indian boxing fans are thrilled to hear the news. Fury is undoubtedly one of the biggest attractions in boxing today, and having him fight in India would be huge.

Undefeated Tyson Fury further expressed his discomfort over the Olympic Committee’s suspension of AIBA from the Tokyo Olympics. According to The Gypsy King, it is very important that amateur boxing continues so that we can have professional champions of the future. The current turmoil in the amateur body, International Boxing upsets The Gypsy King and he feels that it will impact professional boxing as well.
