So over the festive period the team and I were out in force, we visited over 15 of the top 20 grills and some new ones, reviews up soon, the reason we did? Simple, to see if our league positions were justified, and we have some movement people, check out the changes below and the reasons why are also explained.
Both Horseshoe’s Enter the top 10 Hall Green and Coventry:
Hall Green Horseshoe: This place is busy, so order first, great food, a really impressive grill, great drinks selection and just offers that something different, very classy and loved all our festive visits here.
New Horseshoe Coventry: Waiting times are impressive, the food and hygiene standards have been maintained and for a new venue to keep this up over Christmas was impressive.
The Broadway Bar and Grill goes up 6 places:
The food get’s better each time we go, the staff seem more at ease now and the owners are always on hand to talk you through the changes that are happening, positive vibes, and good consistency.
The Copperfox drops to 3rd:
Still a great venue and the curries are as consistent as ever, but, the festive period may have took it’s toll on the kitchen, the grills just did not live up the pre-festive period quality, no doubt this was learning curve, still a great venue, but the peak took it’s toll.
The Soho Oak moves into 2nd:
Consistency is key, and these guys have delivered again and again, each time we go in, we wait no longer than 30 mins, the food is good, and the grills are spot on each time, a great menu and a great new venue.
New Number 1:
The Hen and Chickens returns to number one, 12 visits paid by our team over the festive season, and though the place was busy the food was possibly better than ever, fresh, tasty all packaged with a great ambiance, welcome back.
